A-line is a style of wedding dress that looks good on almost every bride. The bodice is usually form fitting, flaring out at the waist into a full skirt. It is characterized by a form-fitting top that gradually slopes outward until the skirt is larger than the top. The name "A-line" is because the shape of the dress resembles the letter "A".

As it is an extremely versatile style it is also one of the most popular. The design draws attention away from hips and brings it to the fitted bodice. The skirt can be lined with crinoline or tulle to make it larger, but some designs do well on their own without any additional shaping.
