Traditionally the father of the bride's only wedding duties were to sign checks, pick up his tux, walk the bride down the aisle & present her to her groom, and last but not least a toast and dance at the reception.
In this day and age the only real change in the father of the bride's duties is that of writing checks! Count yourself blessed if Daddy will break out the checkbook for you.
