Flower Girls

Flower girls are girls who carry flowers in the wedding ceremony. Many also toss these flowers or flower petals. Most flower girls are between the ages of 4 and 12.

It's usually customary to choose a younger sister of the Bride or Groom, or a younger cousin or other member of the family. Remembering when choosing your Flower Girl that she will be walking down the aisle in front of many people, most of whom she may have never seen or met before. This can be very nerve-wracking for a shy girl.

If you choose a girl that is old enough to understand her role in the wedding, and old enough to help out, try to include her in small choices. They will love helping to choose their dress, flowers and basket.
