Easy Hummus Recipe

  • 1 can of garbanzo beans (chick peas)
    • or 3 cups of boiled, softened garbanzo beans (chick peas)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions (optional)
  • Oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to taste. Lemon juice may also be added for taste.

Combine all ingredients into a food processor. Grind until it becomes a paste. Hummus may be served heated, chilled, or at room temperature.

Without a food processor, mash garbanzo beans until they become a paste. Add olive oil as you are mashing. When olive oil is blended and it becomes a paste, add in the remainder of the ingredients.
