Example of this fabric.

Illusion fabric is a type of tulle or net fabric which is tightly woven to give the appearance of being slightly opaque when it is actually translucent. It is often used in outer sheaths of gown skirts, sleeves, and necklines. Illusion fabric is also popular for use in veils, particularily in ornate or cathedral-length veils.
