A jacket bodice is a type of bodice style in which the top resembles a jacket or a blazer. Many dresses with a jacket bodice are separates, however, it is becoming more popular for jacket bodice wedding dresses to have the jacket flow into the skirt.

The jacket may be opaque and end at the waist or it may be an overlay of a lighter or transluscent material (such as lace). This particular style is particularily flattering to brides who may want to hide the stomach area or the minimize the arms.
