Some couples opt to have a youth choir perform songs during their wedding ceremony. A youth choir is generally composed of children from the ages of 5 through 13, although the age range may vary from group to group, and some groups include teenagers as well. Some youth choirs feature children of only one gender (such as boys) while others are composed of both boys and girls.
Although many of those choirs often tour as bands do, they may also be specially open for wedding bookings as well and are trained to sing several hymns for the occasion. You may expect to pay $700 to $1200, although you could hire one for less than that. Call them for rates and other information.
Choirs with Boys
Choirs with boys usually have boys so young that their voices haven't deepened yet. Because of this, their voices can get so high that they can can sing soprano. Among boys' choirs, those "boy sopranos" are known as trebles.
Restrictions
Some chapels, particularly those with their own music programs, may have limitations on which music you can actually play there. In this case, you may want to negotiate with both the choir and the music director.
Additionally, some choirs may depend on certain musical instruments, such as tuned pianos. You may want to negotiate with both the choir and the chapel on what instruments would be used.
